| Optical Illusions - Processing visual information is a very complicated matter. Once our eyes do the easy part (capturing information from the light), its up to our brains to do the hard part and process all the information. Really, our minds are able to tease out an incredible amount of information from the data they receive, allowing us to perceive motion, see in color, detect pattern, recognize faces and much more. However, in order to do all this, your brain often makes assumptions, and it is from these assumptions that we get visual illusions. |
